The Women’s Affairs division in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy organised a scientific workshop entitled “The Importance of Selecting Appropriate Specialisations for Women and Aligning Them with Labour Market Requirements”. The said event was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, and was presented by Asst. Lect. Fatima Hassan Shakir, as part and parcel of the University’s programmes aimed at supporting and guiding female students academically and professionally.
The workshop addressed the importance of early planning in selecting a field of study consistent with the female student’s interests and abilities, alongside analysing labour market needs and future requirements in order to enhance employment opportunities and achieve professional stability.
It is worth mentioning that this workshop represents one of the University’s academic initiatives reflecting its commitment to empowering female students and guiding them towards informed academic and career decisions, thereby preparing a capable female generation able to compete and excel in the labour market.
