Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) Research Center held a workshop titled "The Effect of Mixing Cleaning Materials on Human Health." It was presented by Dr. Lamyaa Majeed Ahmed during the period of October 28-29, 2025, in Al-Kawthar Hall.
​The workshop aimed to raise awareness among the university service staff on the safe and healthy methods of using detergents, to preserve their health and the safety of the university affiliates.
​The lecture addressed the health risks resulting from mixing cleaning materials, and what it causes, such as the emission of toxic gases that can seriously affect the respiratory system of the workers and those around them.
​The workshop concluded with a set of practical recommendations, the most prominent of which were:
​Do not mix detergents arbitrarily to avoid the emission of toxic gases.
​Follow the correct instructions for each cleaning material.
​The necessity of ventilating the workplace during work.
​Adherence to using personal protective equipment.
​The workshop witnessed a distinguished interaction from the participants due to the importance of the information provided regarding occupational safety and public health, emphasizing the need to implement the guidelines to provide a safe and healthy working environment within the university
